I’m not a fan of buying things for myself, but with mowing season approaching, I needed some new shoes. I know that sounds weird, but let me explain. At the north side of my house is a giant hill. This giant hill provides some… challenges when it comes to mowing. In fact, I’ve slipped on this hill more than once, including a time when I kicked the back of the mower. Not all that fun. So, I bought some hiking shoes.
That’ right, I have hiking shoes for the “sole” purpose of mowing my lawn. Life is great.

I mowed yards as a teenager so I understand the challenges of the terrain. Today, however, my ‘old’ walking shoes become my mowing shoes so I can get a new pair of walking shoes. This cycle repeats itself every 1-2 years.
